Poverty in Victorian England

A Research Portfolio by Jordan Lockwood

This website has been created for my English 1102 class, Spring 2011, at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  It presents the best of my research on the topic of poverty in England during the Victorian period.  Included is my original proposal, an exhaustive bibliography with annotations, a visual display of the key findings of my search, and a final summary explaining my research technique and justifying my sources.

The rich man in his castle,
The poor man at his gate,
God made them, high and lowly,
And order’d their estate
